THE SKIN I LIVE IN (2011)

Funny that the very last film I watch for the year ends up being my absolute favorite. Possible tossup with HUGO, but this is another monster of its own. I can’t even categorize it properly. Arthouse horror? The most twisted revenge movie ever? Pure brilliance? YES to all three. Do not miss this film.

KILL LIST (2011)

This movie is whacked-out. No, really. I would need to view it 10 times to feel up to properly reviewing it. Violent, wild, confusing as hell, bizarre, crazy and then it gets weird. I liked it!

WAKE WOOD (2011)

Hammer Films is back and bringing us some weird ones. Another bizarre one for the books. The closest film this comes to plotwise is PET SEMATARY. It’s its own film, so I enjoyed it, but many will have a hard time getting past the similar storyline. It needed a bit more oomph, but I like this type of weird.
